Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is an ongoing ministry to parishioners in need. Regular visits are conducted by the clergy to the sick and shut-ins in homes and hospitals. Clergy are also available for counseling, help in decision making, and companionship in a crisis.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are laypersons from St. David's who are trained to provide one-on-one Christian care. This support is available to anyone experiencing a difficult time in his or her life, for any reason. Stephen Ministers establish confidential, caring relationships.
St. Martha's Guild
St. Martha's Guild coordinates the preparing and delivering of meals for fellow parishioners in need. Various needs include parents of newborn children; hospital recovery; homebound illness; or a death in the family. Contact the church office at (847) 724-1341.
Befrienders Ministry
Befrienders Ministry coordinates caring activities such as parish visits, cards, or other services for church members who are acutely or chronically ill, aged or infirm, or recovering from a death in the family.
The Prayer Chain
Provides confidential prayer for parishioners, their families, and close friends. To become a member of the prayer chain or to place a name on the prayer list, contact the church office.
